The Black Memory Constellations portfolio presents the initiative of Casa Sueli Carneiro, an institution dedicated to preserving and valuing Black memory and thought in Brazil. The publication describes the project as a platform for mapping and connecting Black initiatives, archives, collectives, and institutions engaged in memory preservation — forming networks, or “constellations,” that strengthen the past, present, and future of the anti-racist struggle. The material highlights the fields of action that shape the project (such as art, culture, education, research, museology, health, and religiosity), as well as its objectives to strengthen memory policies and promote exchanges between community and academic knowledge, while inviting new initiatives to join this network of Black memory preservation.
